Where the protesters planing on commiting murder or just worried they would need to use deadly force to protect themselves from the other protesters? Sorry but it is using violence or intimidation for political goals which is the very definition of terrorism.

In the time it was written there was no standing army and the goal was to defend the government not attack it. So no you don't get to shoot the government with your gun. That is called assasination and treason. As in when the southern states tried to rebell.

The reality is that the second amendment was written in a time when the government had no standing military it doesn't apply well today when we have the worlds largest military. Because the reality is the first time you try to actually fire that gun and used it for anything but a security blanket the government will kill you as the terrorists you are. Even back in the 1800s the southern states combined failed. You have no chance against our military. They will kill you and then finish their cup of coffee without thinking twice.

I did notice they said Biden needs the over 65 crowd to turnout because if "young people" vote in high numbers Bernie Sanders will win. My thought was I wonder how Biden's record of cutting social security and Medicare will work out for him if he is depending on the people benefiting from those same programs. The establishment is transparent in the desire for voters to vote against their own best interests. But it was laughable to see them admit that Biden has lost voters 18 - 64. Seems like that would be the majority of voters.

  8. 50% of Americans have figured out that the system doesn't work for them. That regardless of who they vote for the corporations win so they don't vote. So in reality 1 in 4 Americans vote for the candidate who wins the presidency and both candidates run not on their own policy and value but against the other more evil choice. So the majority of the voters vote against the other party. Which means that less then 1 in 8 Americans actually endorsed the president.   11. The better question is why does the GOP not care about his spending tax payer money after they complained so much about Obama playing golf on government military bases? Yet they are happy to pay millions of dollars for trump to play golf on his own courses including hundreds of thousands of dollar just on golf cart rentals. I can't begin to guess what the GOP would say if Obama had gone to his own resort and charged the secret service to protect him while they where there.

It will help to understand the brainwashing techniques for what they are when you find yourself or others exposed to them in the future. But welcome to the other side. I wish I knew how to reach my brothers but they are so brainwashed they refuse to listen and simply jump onto the next rationalize they can find. Given our current political situation we need to find a way to turn this situation around before fascist take full control of our society.

The one thing I would add is to put single payer in perspective with the current system you not only need the cost of both systems but also the percentage of coverage both provide. Out of pocket expense for users and what percentage of the population is covered. It would be easy for the Republican party to compare their failed healthcare program as less expensive if you exnored the fact that their plan doesn't actually cover people and single payer covers everyone.

  28. Mario Quade great point. I actually have a small farm raising grass feed beef. On a small scale farming beef and pork can actually be very positive for the climate. In my case if I didn't have the cows here the wood lot would have to be sold for development because there is no other way to pay the taxes on this lot. The wood lot is doing more to protect the environment them my few cows do to harm it. Large feed lot beef and small scale grass feed beef are two very different situations. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water we need smarter consumers. Also the animal ag argument is fundamentally flawed because animals are part of the carbon cycle in the atmosphere it is carbon from deep in the earth that the ff industry pumps out of the ground we need to stop adding to the environment.

Jordan is this the same chemical PFOA found in Bedford Merrimack and Litchfield NH also from making non stick pans?  There was a story about it back in January here the last I heard they are providing drinking water to some homes in those towns I listed but nothing more has been done.  Seems crazy that someone thought a non stick frying pan was worth risking cancer to make...

  37. Here in New Hampshire we generate most of our income from sin taxes and property taxes for the rest. No sales or income tax.The problem with that system is sin taxes are hidden taxes and you don't have a clear idea how much money you pay the government when you pay it. A prime example is fuel tax. Ask anyone how much they payed if fuel tax last year they can't answer because the simply don't know. Knowing what government costs is key to controlling spending. Something we don't do well proven by our national debt.Now that said our income tax system is a mess but it has one good thing it shows you every paycheck and at the end of the year what you paid in taxes. We need to look back to how the income tax was orginal implemented. When it started the standard deduction before you had to file was based on the cost of living. My grandfather always said in the early days of the income tax the avg working person didn't pay it or payed very little because they simply didn't make excess money beyond their living expenses. That is where we need to be go back to a standard deduction based on the real standard of living and only tax above that amount so the government isn't taking money Americans need to just pay their light bills and put food on the table.
