After reviewing her voting record I can't in good consensus vote for Tulsi so I am voting for Bernie Sanders.

@Eye_Of_Ra_777 you can look up the studies on it even the libertarian Koch brothers funded study shows it saves trillions. Or just look at the fact that every other developed country has some form of single payer system and they pay half per capita then we pay today. If you think Americans like paying a for profit insurance company only to have them refuse to cover your healthcare when you get sick you are the one out of your mind. I have been through the denial of service claims and didn't enjoy the process at all.

Arlando Little the funding isn't a problem Medicare for all SAVES 5 trillion dollars over the next decade. We just added $20 billion dollars to the military budget this year alone which is more then the cost of college education for the entire country. Where was your outrage when Congress passed the $730 billion military budget? Oh right always money for war never money to help American citizens.
2
Arlando Little so you are perfectly ok with us spending the same money on the military budget increase this year as the education system for your youth. Interesting I would think as an airforce vet you would be fully aware of the waste in the military budget. I know several active and retired military personnel who are more than away of the waste and fraud on the military. As to Medicare for All the studies are not linked to the Sanders campaign I would think telling you one of them was done by the Koch brothers would have made that point abundantly clear. https://truthout.org/articles/new-study-shows-medicare-for-all-would-save-us-5-1-trillion-over-ten-years/ The reality is when you allow people to set the cost of a service you die without base on what you are willing to pay for it the market doesn't work because you can't simply say oh I would pay X to stay alive but what you are billing no that is too much I would rather die. The USA is the only developed country with medical bankruptcy because profit motives don't work when death is the alternative.

Arlando Little NHS is government run hospitals like you have with the VA not single payer like they have in Canada. So congratulations you just proved why you would be better served by Medicare for All then you are currently treated by the VA.
2
Arlando Little we already proved k-12 you seem to think as the wealthiest nation on earth we can't afford to extend that to k-16. The reality is my grandfather was the first generation in the 1920s to graduate from 12 grade because his parents generation realized that the world had advanced enough that the 8th grade education they had wouldn't provide a living for their children. Today a century later our technology and society has once again advanced to the point where k-12 isn't sufficient for our children the only question is do we care as much ablit the future for our youth as our ancestors cared about ours.

Arlando Little as to people crossing the border you should ask Rand Paul why he choose to go to Canada for his operation when he has the best health insurance our system currently offers. Clearly Rand Paul choose the superior care in Canada when his life was on the line. Turns out when profit isn't the primary concern healthcare systems actually focus on the outcome for the patients not the highest profit solution. The reason why Rand Paul went to Canada is because he didn't want mesh implanted which causes cancer simply to make the surgery more profitable for the hospital and insurance company.
2
Arlando Little nice to see you have no counter argument to the actual facts only fearmongering. Have a nice night.
2
Arlando Little so you defend Rand Paul choosing a hospital which any Canadian citizen could attend and have their single payer system pay for because the procedure was better as simply proof that our for profit system which doesn't provide that service is somehow better? As to medical research you clearly have no clue how research and development is funded. Because almost all the major technological advances of the last century can be traced back to government funding. The opoid crisis is the result of a healthcare system which works on a profit motive. It was profitable to just over 10 billion dollars for a single family in the USA to have their drug company make opioids and disturb them through our society killing thousands of Americans in the process. Just like it is more profitable to implant mesh for hernia surgery them to spent the time developing the skills needed to perform the surgery without mesh implants. So simply exnore that the mesh causes cancer heck it isn't the bug it is a feature then a few years later the person become a cancer patient returning more profit to your hospital. That is the reality of a for profit healthcare system the system is designed to keep you sick increasing their profits.

Arlando Little except with our current for profit healthcare system I can't choose which doctors I see. I have to go to the one my employer choose for me when they choose the health insurance based on their costs. I know like I said earlier I have been through denial of payment claims with insurance companies and I had the best plan my employer offered at the time. Turns out what was a good plan for my corporate headquarters on the other side of the country wasn't a good doctors network on this side of the country. So if you want choice in healthcare providers you want a single payer system where all doctors and hospitals take the same payment allowing you to get the doctor you want not the one that your insurance company approved.

Arlando Little what makes you think I don't understand how business maximizes profits? My point was that maximum profit is not conductive to best healthcare results infact they are often contrary. It isn't profitable to cure someone if you can treat the symptoms indefinitely or better yet cure one thing while causing a issue later that you can then treat. Any business knows repeat business is best for profits anyone who is sick knows they don't want to be a repeat visitor to the medical system they want to be healthy. Hence a profit motive has no place in healthcare. Because unlike a cellphone you can't simply choose to not get treatment when the alternative is death. Why you don't understand this I don't know but my guess is you have been spoiled by the fact that the government has always provided your healthcare.
2
Arlando Little you think the government isn't paying for those studies? You don't seem to understand that the vast majority of research and development money comes from the government not the private sector. How much did the company you think is doing this research take from DARPA or other government Grants? Sure we are spending government money to help advance the medical science related to treating military veterans who have lost limbs or been paralyzed. I worked as an engineer for 20 years in industry and I can assure you corporations don't spend billions on research which can't be turned into products within the next year or two they simply refuse to spend the profits on that.
2
Arlando Little by the way you have no clue who you are arguing with because as a controls an automaton engineer yes I do know what technology is needed to help people walk again. Have a good day I am done arguing with someone who refuses to listen.
2
Arlando Little it was medical stents that would have been installed for Bernie Sanders. A great example of government funded research and development in our healthcare sector. I know full well because I worked for a small laser company involved with the process in the early 90s. I could tell you exactly how those stents are made I designed the laser etching system as part of a government grant. But thanks for pointing out how the government funds our medical advisers not the private sector.
2
@Eye_Of_Ra_777 so you are arguing that we can't use the historical data of our healthcare costs rising to predict they will continue to rise in the future? Wow what a fantasy world you live in where all the sudden our for profit healthcare system will just decide controlling cost is more important then maximizing profits. I have read the different studies and they all conclude that single payer healthcare is proven to cost less almost half per capita when comparing the USA with other countries.
2
Arlando Little you need to actually read the Medicare for All legislation Bernie Sanders has put together it will answer your questions.
2
Arlando Little I do get the point you are making strawman arguments because you don't understand what Medicare for All is.
2
Arlando Little yup just like Congress can impeach a president and the courts can throw out trump's executive orders as unconstitutional. The difference ofcourse is Medicare and public education both have a very long history of being legal in our country. Also Bernie Sanders has made it very clear that we will get Medicare for All and other change when we get 1 million people marching in the streets supporting him that he will actually call our any member of Congress who refuses to vote for his policies and let the voters know who we need to replace in the next election. What you don't yet understand is Bernie Sanders means it when he saids this isn't about Bernie this is about us. Are you willing to fight for someone you don't know? The vast amount of volunteers and donations he has gotten from avg Americans proves that this is a movement not a man.
