Yes in that they are gaslighting about renewable energy being dirty energy and bad for the environment when the reality is the opposite that ff is causing the 6th mass extinction killing all life on earth.

@ihave35cents95 funny how we keep decommissioning coal power plants and replacing them with wind and solar if we have to keep the ff plant running in the background all the time as you claim. https://ieefa.org/u-s-coal-plant-retirements-to-top-10gw-in-2019-eia/

@Van Ng it is gaslighting because it makes renewable energy out to be just as dangerous and not the way to avoid the 6th mass extinction. He claims to be concerned about the death of birds while his entire fortune is built off of the death of birds in much higher numbers by his sky scrappers. The reality is that renewable energy is the cleanest cheapest form of new energy available today. To argue we shouldn't use the cleanest most environmentally friendly source of energy because it had an environmental footprint is gaslighting 101.

Coal and oil are causing the 6th mass extinction event on our planet but let's gaslight about how bad renewable energy is and hope they don't notice. Coal lobbyist running the EPA what could go wrong.

@brian2440 the latest study said we can be 100% renewable in the USA for $7.8 trillion invested. To put that in perspective the estimate for the iraq oil war alone over the last 2 decades is $7.5 trillion. So for the same money we now spend fighting wars for energy in the middle east we could be building new jobs and renewable energy at home. Don't be fooled the current president said with respect to Syria we are definitely taking the oil on national TV. So yes the middle east wars are wars for oil alone and we are committing war crimes by definitely taking the oil. Here is more information on the renewable energy study. https://cleantechnica.com/2019/12/22/100-wind-water-solar-energy-can-should-be-the-goal-costs-less/

@brian2440 how much has the cost of renewable energy dropped since 2015? Spoiler alert much more then in half and batteries continue to drop. The reality is when we invest on the scale we need to it will continue to drive the costs down. It is called economy of scale and when you go from a fraction of a percent of global energy to 100% you can definitely expect to see those cost savings.

@brian2440 have you ever seen how much electric we use to refine oil? Reducing our energy demand isn't that hard. But the term was global energy needs. You are miss interrupting the statement
