  2.  @dillsha9599  unfortunately for the USA Boris is to the left of the entire DNC. Just look at the unemployment in the USA vs Britain. Not saying the response by your government was the doing of Boris it was probably largely in spite of him but still your government paid to keep people employed ours let 50 million Americans file unemployment and something like 1 in 3 American are now not able to make their housing payments and looking at eviction. So while I understand your frustration I would be more than happy to trade the policies of the British government for those of the American government with respect to the current crisis.

Both are running against the worse president in modern history. If they are unable to win in that race all we have proven is that centrist corporatist candidates are a failure.

Biden refused to offer the voters any policy they want in exchange for their votes. So yes playing populists is the lowest of bars but the corporate Democrats can't even clear that low bar.

  6.  @Charles-Darwin  time will tell but it looks questionable. South Carolina which was used to swing the primary for Biden looks to definitely be trumps in November. Just think about that for a moment the fate of the Democratic primary pivoted around a state that the nominee can't win come November. So basically everyone who changed their mind based on Biden winning in SC actually let a Republican state pick the democratic party nominee.

Now if the media would actually call out the real looting which is happening in DC by our elected officials we might see some change. But instead they worship the bipartisan looting of the treasury by wallstreet. Billionaires have looted trillions of dollars between the "cares act" and the federal reserve printing money for billionaire. The stock market has hit record highs while 50 million Americans have lost their jobs and are looking at eviction. But the media and people like you focus on the protests being pissed off and things getting out of control which is a symptom of the failure of leadership and see a problem not a symptom. The problem isn't BLM the problem is that after all this time of peaceful protests the government has done nothing to address their grievances. More citizens are being kill by police and people continue to loose their homes. While the ruling class and the donor class keep looting the treasury and pumping up stock prices with the fed the buyer of last resort for junk bonds and stocks something that the federal reserve has literally never done before.

The reason we have record high unemployment and 180,000 dead 25% of the worlds deaths with only 4% of the worlds population is because trump fucked up the handling of covid. All we have to do is look at other countries which protected the citizens jobs having them furrowed not fired while the country's went into a real shutdown and the government enforced using PPE to the bungling that happened here in the USA. Other countries are now opening up their businesses and the people are back to work here we have 50 million Americans who have filed unemployment and 180,000 plus who are dead. That is the legacy of Trump

I am not justifying the violence and property damage but after months of peaceful protests you can't expect that the people won't get frustrated with the government refusing to address their grievances and in fact ramping up the authoritarian response. When the government represses citizens they will lash out any way they can. You can see this the world over.

  14.  @heinzguderian9980  it is desperation not stupidity. What choice do they have vote for the fake populist or the candidate who tells them nothing will fundamentally change? They know the current system is broken the last 3 election cycles where won by the candidate offering change. Neither one of them delivered but they did atleast offer it up. Biden can't even bring himself to do that he like Hillary simply wants you to vote to get trump out of office. Well that will happen on the first day so what happens after that? Biden needs to offer us something we want after January 21st if he wants us to be excited and risk our lives in a pandemic voting for him.

  17. 50% of Americans have figured out that the system doesn't work for them. That regardless of who they vote for the corporations win so they don't vote. So in reality 1 in 4 Americans vote for the candidate who wins the presidency and both candidates run not on their own policy and value but against the other more evil choice. So the majority of the voters vote against the other party. Which means that less then 1 in 8 Americans actually endorsed the president. If the colonists wanted to protect the property they should have taken out their frustration on the tax collector not the private property of the company selling tea. Would you be ok with the protests burning the companies that supply bullets to the police and weapons? I could argue that since the police have run over protesters with their vehicles burning cars is equivalent to dumping tea in the harbor it harms the companies that sold the vehicles to the police they uses against the citizens the same as dumping tea in the harbor harmed the British east India company which sold the tea that was taxed.
