  2. My question is after he and his wife agreed last month to spend the money on the credit card do they ask the bank to cut the amount they owed the following month? Because he seems confused about the debt ceiling impacting the budget passed by Congress in 2022 for 2023 not the budget being negotiated for 2024.

  3.  @fdoe9184  I don't disagree but you missed the point the debt ceiling is a result of the budget they passed last year not the current budget negotiations for 2024. He is basically saying he spent the money on the credit card but refuses to pay the bank for the goods he already is using. But trying to argue it is about future spending.
