Don't worry NPR reported she will continue to sell her vote to the highest bidder. Atleast that is how I take her statement that she will continue the vote the way she has. Because she seems to vote the way that is most profitable for herself.

@sopheadutch6350 people voted for a former green party candidate not someone willing to sell their votes to the highest bidder. Don't voter shame for the failures of those in elected officials.

All you have to do is look at the healthcare system anyway in the world where single payer is making people live longer at a fraction of the cost in the USA to refute what you said.

Lol trying hard to rationalize only giving healthcare to the wealthy and saying denial of healthcare isn't responsible for us having shorter lifespans than countries with single payer healthcare is priceless. I will put you in the category of it is impossible to convince someone of something his paycheck depends on him not believing. Have a nice day. Hope you enjoy having paid for insurance that you can't actually use if you get sick with something the insurance company desides is too expensive to treat.

Canada does allow private healthcare. But if you think the insurance companies are more likely to approve your medical care than a government I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

You didn't spank my argument. People are held hostage to their employers over healthcare in the USA and not held hostage in countries with single payer. You made bogus claims which are easily proven false. Like the death panels argument when insurance companies have them to profit from denial of services.

@sulochandhungel the solution to that is to get ranked choice voting in AZ. Then people can vote their values before their fears.

@joannemoser3443 so true. I was just going to reply that he needs to look up Wendell Potter, to see how a fromer health insurance executive views the profit motive vs Medicare for all. But there are non so blind as those who refuse to see so I am sure having the former high level executive tell him that the company takes advantage of people and has a profit motive to deny you healthcare wouldn't matter.

@dragoonzen she was the perfect scape goat for party leadership to get the policy they wanted passed. Nancy Pelosi proved this by using her master legislator skills to make sure the workers where forced back to work on the terms of the owners not the workers. Joe Lieberman and Joe Manchin and the other scapegoats are not the bug they are the feature in the duopoly owned by the wealthy. The way to end the duopoly is ranked choice voting and more parties.

@doncahooti I am pretty sure our life expectancy was shorter before covid than many countries with single payer healthcare. It was mentioned during the first campaign Bernie Sanders had for president in 2016 IIRC
