@aidanm.655 The Socrates of the 'Dialogues' is a fiction. See Xenophon and Aristophanes' different again, and from one anothers, portrayals of Socrates. There is no favouring the one over the others; and all could be wrong altogether.

@aidanm.655 You misunderstand me. Pontius Pilate was a real person; the character in the Gospels is a literary fiction. The Pilate of Josephos' histories is a totally different animal. We have the same going on with the Dialogues: that Socrates is a fictional portrayal. If you look at the other characters; while real some never met and others didn't even live at the same time. Aristophanes' character is a comic exaggeration. Xenophon's Socrates is dull as ditch water in comparison to both. I think Xenophon's might be the most accurate portrayal; but all of them are distortions; either for scurruious comedy or apologetic..

The Jesus of G. Jn isn't Jewish. The God of G. Jn isn't Yahweh. G. Jn is a lightly Catholicised "Gnostic" gospel. It is EXACTLY in line with Herr Hitlers 'Positive Xtianity' and probably the source of it; whether he knew that or not. There is quite a bit amiss with Lewis' understanding of "Gnosticism"; it ISN'T another religion, it is a spin put on: first Judaism; and then carried over into Xtianity as part and parcel of the JEWISH sect that fathered/became Xtianity. It was warped into a hateful thing in the Gentile ultra-Pauline Churches that rejected Judaism; Judaisers; and Torah. But Lewis has the gist of it. Obviously, you can't be blamed for your Pastor not telling you what he would probably been taught in seminary/theological college; but now you've been told it would be a sin not to use your God-given reason and intellect to find out what Xtianity was originally about BEFORE the compromise Canon New Testament, nevermind Nicea. You don't even have to go outside the New Testament, as I've just shown, to find you've been fed lies since you were on your Mammie's knee.

In the upper echelons of Bolshevism Jews were hugely over-represented. Marx himself? Xtianity; the Bible; Islam. If you don't want to be persecuted; don't support toxic ideas and expel from your communities any that do. Wherever you live; thats your home. That is where your loyalties lie; not to a xenophobic; Neo-Nazi Apartheid; and genocidal sectarian ethno-state. This is hardly neuro-science.
