Churchill has a lot in common with Halder: he wrote the histories. I look at his record in government and all I see is one treason after another. The conduct of war after the breakout from Normandy looks very dodgy. Hell the conduct before doesn't make sense after Sicily, we had air superority and command of the sea. The Americans invaded North Africa from North America, so it wasn't as ifdistances were a problem. Why no landing well north of Rome? I don't buy the excuses or the level of stupid. I think there was something very wrong at the top both in Westminster and Washington.
