  1. I agree with the basic theory, but as a Japanese person, I feel uncomfortable with the way it suggests that Japan’s soft power exists to deceive foreigners.

  2. The ones who need to change are the foreigners. I cannot respect the new Japanese who continue to compare tourists and immigrants. If they are going to move to a new country, dreaming about it on their own terms and complaining while continuing to live there, it's healthier to return to home country and work towards making that society closer to ideal.
