  1. Ainu are not indigenous people of Japan. A director of the video is probably unaware of the fact that foreigners from Asia have received subsidies from the Japanese government to dress up in costumes, create new dances, and pose as Ainu people. As a Japanese, I don't understand why it was necessary to film an approximately two-hour documentary full of lies. All in all, it would be a great material to cover and fool the ignorant Japanese people according to the trend that Westerners prefer. Still, I had a bad feeling when Justin Trudeau came out and said the line about diversity at the beginning of the video.
