  2. You have to practically pledge allegiance to wokeness to even qualify these days. A few years ago I was very close to applying to join. Cant tell you how glad I am I did not do that.

  3. I live in a town just outside the M25 in Surrey. The police have been ok here. They didn’t even give us hard time for taking the kids out tobogganing in the snow a few weeks ago.

  4. Celebrating is not allowed, you will be fined ;) there should be mandatory uniformity across the forces. Some have behaved appallingly while others have used compassion and common sense.

  5. That’s why I say that no one must pay it. With almost 70k cases pending they’d either have the courts clogged for years or they’ll just scrap the whole clusterfk. It’s same with the bbc extortion racket. Just don’t pay and if thousands refuse the courts aren’t going to be interested in a procession of TVL “evaders”.

  7. Here’s a little nugget for you. My wife works in a care home where they go as far as possible to be covid compliant. A few weeks ago of the residents passed away in bed. The nhs paramedics medics and the cops who turned up sat around the kitchen table together filling in endless forms and drinking coffee… none were wearing masks.

  11. Reminds of the tw*t police chief who said drivers should fined and have 3 points in their licence for going 1mph over the speed limit. He retracted that statement sharpish.

  12. Apparently that’s the strategy. The courts would collapse. I reckon they’ll just scrap the fixed penalty notices once they realise the logistics of trying to extract payment.
