If I was a billionaire I’d beg Bugatti to let me buy one.

Looks like we have our ECOTY winner then. What a car.

A crying shame WRC is being broadcast on BT Sport in the UK. I guess I'll have to watch snippets on youtube channels.

Aren't you getting a but carried away? The cars ranged from around 400-600bhp ish. It was exciting! Watching a blur of yellow, red and white howl, whoosh and chirp past in a shower of stones is one of the things I'll remember for the rest of my life. Audi Quattro :)

Awesome :) What I will say though is, that on a different day, different surface with different testers, the numbers would be different. Both NSX and GTR have been recorded to 60 in under 3 seconds and the Porsche even achieving 2.5s.

Sounds about right. EVO have been acused of being biased towards Porsche, but I think the reality is Porsche do make the best "thrill of driving" cars.
12
Doc Gonzo it’s merely a reference to the aero of the car producing enough downforce that the car would be able to drive upside down from a certain speed upwards.

4:30 while I love the scream of that Mazda 787B Rotary engine.. what was the context?
10
They started out with around that power, but evovled into having +-600hp before Group B was banned.
5
It’s still a massive ripoff.
5
Awesome! Mazda still insist on making the MX5 the motoring equivalent of a hair dryer.

Malc180s surface won't change the result? You think on that if you're capable. Who ever thought grip would affect traction?

It’s easy to roast his Tesla: It’s not a Plaid. See? Easy.

...and then there is the Regera which Chiron fanboys seem to have forgotten. Its official figures suggest it reaches it's electronically limited top of 410kph (255mph) in 20 seconds, which means it also has plenty in the tank to go on to nearly 300mph (tyres permitting obviously). I don't care either way, these cars are awesome, all I hope is that at some point both cars are let off the leash to hit their vmax!

ZaMIam buyers from new paid a realistic price to Porsche for the R and GT3 RS. It was the 2nd buyer who got a$$ rap ed. 991 GT3 RS used prices started sliding backwards about a year ago. The cheapest can be had for £213k now whereas previously the cheapest were going for £240k+ and the most highly specced for around £300k. This GT3 will go for silly money on the used market due to the long waiting list.

LOL, you're an idiot.
2
That was superb. Ben is brilliant and what a thing that car is.
2
It looks as long as a school bus.
2
adrien baisden sorry you’re not a car guy.
2
Totally wrong about the F12. It's a glorious car from nose to tail.
2
I'd put one into my E91 320D Touring and leave the 320D on the tailgate...

Top class production and great to see Henry. IMO the South American Dakar is better. The terrain is more diverse, (ranging from beaches, to desert, to mountains, to salt flats, to wet plains, farm land), more beautiful, the weather more wild and unpredictable and obviously is far safer for the competitiors from a terrorism point. North Africa is a very dangerous place.
1
Lets be honest; the TT RS is going to murder the other two in a straight line. It's not even going to be close. The M2 and 718 are most likely a lot more fun around a track though.
1
Cheers, I'll have a look for that :)
1
Redge Diakité that's a good point. I wasn't concentrating on the S vs standard :) still, both the Japanese cars are proven capable of hitting 60 in under 3 seconds. The Porsche launch is stunning.
1
It doesnt really matter whether you hate the GTR or not, everyone has their favourite cars, and it doesnt affect the performance of said vehicle. I dislike the concept of roll out but both the GTR and NSX are capable of sub 3 second 0-60s (with no roll out). At least when they use roll out they give both RO figure and "normal" figure... well they're supposed to.
1
Agreed, launch control takes the driver out as far as timings go, we know this, but the surface/grip (including tyres), the road temperature, the air temperature, altitude, and a couple of other factors do affect performance. My point is, that different road testers and publications have come out with different figures when testing. I've seen and read enough to know that there is quite a variance between figures published by different testers and its likely because of some of the factors I've listed.

Reginald R certainly cars like the performante, 720S and a few other great cars ranging from GT cars, coupes to hot hatches will be in the mix but EVO like a GT3 and this car, as Former EVO dude Jethro said, has moved the goal posts on massively. It is the most complete evo car this year. Chassis 5*, manual option 5*, exhaust note from Factory fitted Akrapovic exhaust 5*. It will win ECOTY fairly easily. I've absorbed every single ECOTY since 1998 and I'd bet £1k this wins :)

In a world where I could afford and also actually buy either this or a 720S, the 720s would be sitting in my garage. The GT is beautiful and it's fast but it's not better than the 720 which is less than half the price. The 720S is likely just as quick around a track and far far better road car.
1
911 GT1 would be cool 😎 this TVR is epic. 😮
1
Awesome review of an awesome car Jethro, but lets not forget this car doesn't exist in its own league (speed wise). The Koenigsegg Agera R, 1:1 and Regera exist already and I'll wager while the AWD Chiron gets off the line faster, the 'eggs, especially the 1:1 and Regera accelerate faster from 60mph on. Race on please :)
1
LOL and then you meet Emily Clarkson who's father isn't all those things. C'mon man lol
1
@TheAsylum100 Exactly. Clarkson is a bab oon
1
@Kiluei hanks is a PD so no.
1
Theese are the kind of vehicles you go out for a (silent) hoon on and then plug back in at home.
1
Ok ok. That doesn't change anything in the real world.
1
Good thing you can't afford even it's brakes then isn't it?
1
Bored, stroked and tuned S62 BMW v8?
1
Ah, cheers for that. I guess we're still left guessing :)
1
Mr Needell, you do know you can get a BMW X3, X5 and X7 with a 3.0 in line 6cyl petrol engine don't you? ahem 40i, is not 4.0 v8 ;)
1
Maybe Douw Steyn has bought it ;)
1
Don’t try to excuse extortion.
1
Or maybe you pull up with a Senna GTR.... happy days. The Senna is a road car.
1
Most comments on the STO spec were “don’t do it “. He did it anyway so it was no mistake. 😆
1
T50S has no chance.
1
For a moment I thought it might be the v10 RS6…
1
Maybe you should lay the blame squarely on the fasc ist EU who are responsible for these type of cars turning into tanks because of their psychotic restrictions.
1
He looks like a Labour voter 😂 😂
1
Where to begin with a comment like this.................
1
If he doesn't like it, thats an auto thumbs down.
1
The T.50 has a look of the Macca F1 to it, but then that car was designed by the same man. GMA has zero affiliation with Mclaren as far as I'm aware.
