TheChamp76 only if it isn’t maintained and serviced properly. I’ve seen video of a VAG diesel that had done +-250000 miles and had only lost about 5hp from new. Accepted loss is not a thing. It’s a myth based on poorly maintained engines.

All these kids thinking they live in Forza or Gran Turismo… in the real world on crowded roads etc manuals are just a ball ache. Sure, have manual for a Sunday afternoon backroad join, but in stop start traffic two hours hahaha. Suckers.

The straight 6 never left.

In the 360 degree footage you can see the helicopter if you turn to the right. That chopper has a top speed of just over 180mph but with camera gear etc attached that speed drops to just over 150mph. The data suggested the chopper was keeping pace with the car at over 200mph. Simply not possible.
78
@matmul4850 don’t be stoopid. You think a car with 1750hp, a low drag coefficient and is geared for over 300mph can do only 240mph? 😂 😂 😂
25
I fond it so cute that you think car guys care. The pistons in your bikes are smaller than the pistons in barbie's plastic mercedes.
19
🤦♂️ roll out is not relevant to road car times. It drives me mad when they use it.
16
I’d order a model S Plaid n a heart beat but hey it’s $140k out of my budget.
15
Not from 6.2l. It's what we call a "lazy engine". It's only 80hp per litre. I'd be impressed if it had 90hp/l minimum.
13
It could happen. The P1 class is being replaced with a hypercar class so cars like the Senna etc “should” be endurance racers from next year.
12
Fun is irrelevant in the real world sadly. 99% of journeys are just about getting from A to B comfortably and efficiently. I'm afraid the exhorbitant cost of buy a EV, the limited range and the long recharge times make them a non starter (for me). I care not for the deluded anti diesel whinging. My car will take me over 700 miles on a single tank and it takes 5 minutes to refill. I'll take that any day.
12
Easy: the sedan is towing an air brake while the SUV less so. Makes sense.
11
I put one of these K & N air filters in my BMW 320D and the first thing I noticed is that the engine revved to the redline more freely. Whether there was any power increase is hard to tell because even if there was it would be such a small difference, you'd need a dyno test comparison to tell. Subsequently the car has been tuned from 180hp to 220hp and the filter probably helps more now.
11
Tejas Parab when you grow into an adult you’ll prefer an auto.
11
EV is a total p;ain. They don't have the range and they take ages (compared to pumping petrol or diesel). Anyone who thinks there will be hundreds of millions of EVs on the road in by 2040 is smoking crack.
9
The SSC can easily out pace the Bugatti and ‘Egg. Given the power figures, weight, drag coefficient etc the SSC should exceed 300mph. They just need to do a legit run and prove they did it, beyond question. If they don’t, then their name is tarnished forever.
7
Why do you care what other people buy? No one makes you buy SUVs. There are plenty of "normal cars" for you to choose from.
6
Stop excusing this nonsense. You’re not doing a 600 mile trip in the same time you go in an ice car even in a Disney fantasy.
6
Jon Elizondo so in 2020 it’s a outdated design. Confirmed 👍
5
Most of the world simply cannot adopt EV. They can't afford it and they can't put the infrastructure in place. It's literally a 1st world "solution".
5
When I can get almost 800 miles on one tank of diesel in my car and be refueled and on my in a shade over 5 minutes, you can have your EV and I'll keep my car.
3
Galatzó good thinking :)
3
That’s cos your IQ is too low. No shame in that.
3
The chances of this being built are something like a snow and hell.
3
I agree 100%. Diesel makes the best hybrid. it had extra torque over petrol and is more efficient.
3
There are no elites. Just rich and poor. The rich are not special.
3
It looks like a Ferrari V8 had a baby with a new Acura NSX.... which is a great thing.
3
Both races I’ve seen have had the Taycan Turbo S beating the P100DL. But of course, according to Dragtimes, who owns Teslas, these races are fake news.
2
Bill Edwards pushrod. There’s your problem. In the modern era, pushrod is like leaf springs is to suspension.
2
What difference does it make to you?
2
Kiril Toshev ice cars won’t be gone any time soon. Do you really think the whole would is going to scrap millions and millions of cars enmasse and buy EVs? People in poor countries will driving ice cars for the next 50 years. Don’t let people with 1st world mindsets tell you that ice is dead and EV rules. They’re deluded.
2
Moch Insani Imam Utomo that’s too dumb. Waay too dumb.
2
And my car has 184hp. Wow.
2
No.EV’s won’t replace ICE cars. Global rollout of EV will NEVER happen. It’s delusional to believe that.
2
I’ve wondered how Ferrari, Lamborghini and Koenigsegg could still produce massive horse power v8s v12s etc and still keep the bleating EU nannies at bay. Bmw, Porsche etc keep downsizing to meet emissions levels… what’s the deal with that?
2
Any tuner worth their title has been turning out reliable 700+hp R35 GTRs for the last decade. Nissan: 600hp is the best we can do.
2
save gaza from ham-ass. God bless israel.
2
Yes. I can’t afford to replace my diesel Bmw 3 series with anything that could match its space and range.
2
LOL, commiefornia can't cope as it is. Give it more years of these "people" and the USA will be well on the way to being 3rd world.
2
Awesome :) The wind deflector doesn't seem to be having much effect. Looks really windy in that cabin.
1
Two ways my diesel beats the crap out of EV. It costs much much less to buy the car and I can get over 700 miles on a tankful. Until EV costs a lot less to buy, can get 500+ real world miles on a charge and take 5 minutes to fully recharge (lol) you can shove EV where the sun don't shine. In the nicest possible way of course :D
1
Thanks for reminding me why my bmw 320D is the best long distance cruiser (for me, you can buy what you like). I refuelled before a 2000 mile trip and refuelled 3 more times in the next 9 days and drove around on the fuel from the last refill for the next two weeks. Sorry environment, humans are still failing you.
1
C Jam there were a lot of heavy cars around in his day but sports cars were usually light-ish.
1
It's obvious the BMW engine is tuned for use in a sports car, while the other two are tuned for SUV/truck applications where torque coming in earlier is more of a charateristic of vehicles like this.
1
Engineering Explained I think he was referring the mclaren F1 and the T.50 😂
1
Good one :)
1
CVK did indeed say it should do 330mph. He also said the tyres should handle it.
1
The 1diot vehicle virgins got butthurt when I said rollout was cheating. Money is wasted on some people.
1
Timon Burkhard DRS in road cars isn’t new technology.
1
I live in an area where it can get up to 11/12 Celsius in winter but down to -4 as well. It never snows. It’s just not worth buying winter tyres.
1
I forgot it was April fools for a second :)
1
'Egg needs to redo the test with a higher grip surface. That exact car should be able to knock at least 3 seconds off its own time.
1
This car tuned to 750hp would absolutely epic.
1
Jeez that’s simplistic. 🤦♂️ how are people going to get around freely and in a manner that suits them?
1
I assume the maximum potential acceleration of the S/C S2000 means it could actually hit in around 5s?
1
Fk off with your stupidity and watch the barbie dolls you prefer.
1
Tesla has one "forward" gear, Rimac claims to have three. Could you please explain the engineering behind that and differences between the two cars? :) The P100D tops out at about 150mph and accelerates relatively slowly above 70mph, but the Rimac accelerates faster even at high speed and can run on to about 220mph.
1
That 620 mile is based on predominantly slow driving. The real world cruising range at 70-80mph will be closer to 400 miles, which is still ok.
1
Rollout just sums stoopid America up.
1
I turn my Bmw 320D off in traffic if I think I’m going to be stationary for at least 30s. Haven’t had a problem yet and it starts on the button every time. My choice, my fuel bill, my car.
1
Very simplistic description of turbocharged delivery… many turbo charged engines have multiple turbos which spool at different points in the rev range and negate turbo lag. My diesel has been remapped so the turbo spoils earlier and power delivery is more instantaneous and linear.
1
William Jenssen kornigsegg is Swedish and Sweden is in the EU so while your explanation makes sense it doesn’t account for the ‘Egg, Ferrari, Lamborghini question. All these companies are from EU countries.
1
VinBadaBing you're sticking to your Honda because you couldn't even afford the wheels of a car in this price bracket.
1
EVs are a joke and are never going to replace ICE on a like for like user experience basis. Imagine taking 45 minutes to fill your tank with gas/petrol or diesel just so you can drive 200 miles just to do it all over again 🤦♂️
1
My semi makes more sense.
1
The biggest problem with electric cars? The child slaves being used to mine lithium. Take a bow EV nuts.
1
Why should I spend $$$$ on an EV when I already own a decent diesel car outright? I have nowhere at home to charge an EV either. My car will do over 750 miles on tank of diesel. What's your best EV range huh? almost 500 miles less. pffft
1
excited about a limited or non production coupe that if released won't even make a splash. OK>
1
Charging to 100% does not ruin the battery ............... Maybe if you do it every single day for two years.......
1
😂 I love your drawing of the cybertruck.
1
Geo G. I saw video years ago of a rotary being bench tested to destruction. It got to around 18000 rpm before it went bang.
1
We’ve been through this last week 😂
1
"Don't floor it" isn't always applicable so do better research. many high performance engines have been run in prior to completion of the car in the factory. All these fools driving around at a max of 4000rpm in a Nissan GTR or Audi R8 don't realise their cars engine has already been ragged on a test bench and run at max rpm already. GTR's are also driven on obstacle courses totest brakes and suspension and to check for rattles etc. Mclarens are run in from factory and an actually be driven hard right from new, which has been proven.
1
Did you know that Assumption is the mother of all fk ups? point being that assuming your autopilot has "seen" an obstacle could be deadly...
1
Some cars with automatic transmissions launch in 2nd gear. It is ok to to take off in 2nd. That's all.
1
Duck 🦆 is tasty but not yet sharpest tool. 😂
1
If EVs sell in their tens of millions they’ll be charging in their millions at the same time. The USA is a failing country and will only get worse as far as infrastructure goes. It’s a 3rd world country that hasn’t realised it yet.
1
Diesel FTW.
