  1. I believe that in China they have a system of payment for people doing private good deeds. Sounds good yea? No because it destroys the possibility of a doing of private a good deed. That is probably the real purpose, to remove the possibility of a Good Will by re-presenting it as a move within a state schematic of self interest by regulation. Like when someone pays you for a kindness. It forces the act into a structure that has to assume self interest materialism all the way down. Remember in 1984 what the Big Brother Guy really wanted to destroy with Winston, not his body. It seems to me that Nietzsche and Anscombe's "Death of God is really a metaphor for all similar ideas/concepts under modernism science and law. eg Truth, duty, promise, agency, responsibly, etc In 20th and now 21st century these were and are still major Western Philosophical traditions, not just with materialist socialism, but much Analytical Philosophy scientific naturalism and anti metaphysics, and now AI approaches to law and judgement.
