  1. There are an infinite number of ways to divide white men form everybody else and vice versa, without actually naming them or using the concepts white and male. All can be given a objective set of criteria: a spread sheet matrix, that appears then non subjective by virtue of being measurable quantifiable. Even though the prior decision of exclusion is a fact that is prior to the spread sheet of qualities listed, it has the look of objectivity and so agreement legitimacy and authority. Thing is this is exactly what the left Critique of meritocracy of ability was. Like Eysenck's test and the IQ tests: like complete the sentence: "Bacon and ####" (the answer was of course "eggs"). Anyway i was told way back in the 1980's that Eysenck and the 11 plus giving the man out of the child had been discredited. Hay Einstein couldn't get a job doing physics in a University, Heidegger's "Being and Time" was rejected for a PhD thesis and Wittgenstein couldn't get the Tractatus published without an introduction by Bertrand Russell. But remember, that doesn't mean failing a PhD means the thesis is a work of genius, or that the graduate, without a qualification apt job, working in a factory or a shop, is going to revolutionise cosmology in the broadest sense.
