  2. lady of shalot: The notion of the economy becoming a permanent system of poverty for many, seems to me to bear out Nash's thesis that the economy can become a sub optimal game eg multiple possible equilibria (some are rational but irrational wrt view point).contra Von Neumann game theory. I'm no expert though
