  2.  @youtubeenjoyer1743  indies won't be affected, whenever they use servers they in 98% of times use steamworks servers which are not paid by the devs but by steam itself so they won't have to pay anything and since it's steamworks they also won't have to do much else since steamworks allows for lan and private servers already.

  3. it's possible the game would still not work, just few weeks back i wanted to play watch dogs 2 again so i downloaded it on steam and pressed play only to be met with nothing, it never opened so i tried all sort of stuff for like an hour until i was too annoyed and just got rid of it and then went to pirate the game and guess what... that version worked perfectly.

  18.  @wuttut3276  nothing would cost more, not to mention triple AAA devs already waste tens of millions for literally nothing already, kingdom come 2 was made with 40 million, now the director said that he does not know why the games can get so expensive and only way it would cost so much is if the devs remade assets like 30times over and over again so if you want cheaper games, make the devs stop remaking the assets hundreds of times when it's not needed.

  20.  @wuttut3276  p2p technology has been here for about 20 years and this was standart, we all know it even you that this is simply an excuse cause the devs are lazy to actually write good code, helldivers 2 devs are all for this intiative and it would not be hard for them to implement this and why? as long as you don't have spaghetti code, it's easy to make no matter game it is.

  36.  @blackdynamite_5470  for games like Gow i think dodi is better for that while smaller games definitely fitgirl, the reason is that fitgirl compress the files lot more which also mean that the extraction will take lot longer while it does also lower the storage requirement, the extraction will also take lot longer for example, red dead 2 on firgirl usually takes around 2.5 to 4 hours (depends on your system.) while dodi just around an hour.

  46. i always wonder, is it really hard to make good pirate game? i feel like the only good pirate games are either 20 years old or it's ac 4 the rest are either unfinished mess but decent concept or complete garbage, went through lot of pirate games and from 20 only like 3 or 4 were decent enough, it's actually crazy.
