Men went to work and the women could stay at home and look after the home and kids. We had plain healthy food, Children played fir hours outside with their friends, the mothers chatted and socialised with the other women. No one had much money, but everyone coukd sing or play a musical instrument. Families went to mass every Sunday, then to visit parks or museums ir beauty spots, visit family, dance drink a bit enjoy.
