Looks like Russian effort is in trouble once again. Ukrainian ATCAM strikes are inflecting expensive damage to Russian air defence and other high-tech assets. If the US authorises Ukraine to use US weapons to target mainland Russia that will make this situation even worse. On top of that F-16s are coming. If too many Russian air defence systems are destroyed then Russia will not be able to put up a fight against the F-16s. Western nations were in short of weapons but now it seems they have also boosted their production up and supplying Ukraine with the weapons those were in short supply. The situation is grim for both the sides. If it continues like this then, this war will linger for a long time.

No. Russia doesn’t have the capacity of wining this war fulfilling its objectives. Now it is clear without any doubt that Russia is too weak to achieve its objectives. By now Russia should have been able to break through the Ukrainian defence lines. Rather their offensive is really stalled and couldn’t advance even for a mile in six months. Russian military is very incompetent and the victory of Bahmut was achieved because of the Wagner Group. It seems Bahmut was and is their last victory.
3
The war is a stalemate again. That tells the fact that both sides are getting weaker and weaker as time is progressing. Russia was expected to accelerate its speed of progress but seems that is not happening.
3
There must have been an underlying agreement, signs are clear. It is very easy to destroy a massive number of enemy soldiers when they are retreating and obstructed by a river bottleneck. Many Ukraine supporters those who are also haters and blood thirsty were waiting to witness something like an ocean of Russian blood and be satisfied. But it hasn’t happened. Why?
3
Russia is performing better than Ukraine in the battle field these days. But Russian performance is still not good enough for a decisive victory, which is very disappointing. Still there is no real visible reason that can makes you hopeful about a Russian victory.
3
Looks like Russian capability has gone down and now they are not able to strike and destroy the Ukrainian resources like tanks and armoured vehicles as they managed to do before at the beginning of this Ukrainian counter offensive. Probably due to the explosion happened near Moscow at an optical instruments production factory that was the manufacturer of the components used in KA-52 Alligator helicopter. Also Russia is not conducting missile attacks these days for a while now. Probably the collection of western semiconductor chips used to guide the missiles have run out. Something is definitely wrong with Russia.
3
Probably Kherson is the place going to be in history like Heroshima and Nagasaki.
3
Russia the nation has lost the required capabilities to exist as a powerful nation. It seems Russian cutting edge Su-35 is a very vulnerable fighter. It doesn’t actually possess its advertised capabilities. Leader alone cannot save such a decade nation.
3
“UK, Canada, Germany, France are signing security guarantee and will protect Ukraine”. What does that mean? The entire NATO alliance could not protect Ukraine then how does it make sense? It doesn’t actually mean anything except a media flashing nonsense. The NATO alliance is the only power that could protect Ukraine. But they too have failed.
3
Good news. Russia is coping and repelling Ukrainian counter offensive successfully.
3
It looks like Russia still not ready to attack. Actually Russians are still resisting Ukrainian attacks. The very slow pace of Russian advancement indicates that.
3
Russia’s war effort might end abruptly and Russia’s future is very uncertain too. Don’t you think there is a strong likely hood that tomorrow morning’s breaking would be even worst and this time the victim will be the Russian top leadership? From the very beginning of this SMO Russia has been constantly showing some signs of very bad failures. All the Russian administrative authorities, systems and institutions are very fragile and lack sophistication. It gives me the worrying implication that, the Russian nation is no longer capable of supporting itself as a powerful, advanced and respected nation. I really do not want to see Russia’s demise but these symptoms time and now reminds me the fact that Russian demise is inevitable even if it can win the SMO.
3
Is not there any other possible way or strategy that can be used to accelerate the Russian advancements?
3
Looks like the western weapons have halted the Russian progress and momentum. The situation is a stalemate once again. Russia needs to do something to gear up their progress.
3
@limedickandrew6016 Right. When I see Russia facing difficulty it makes me worried especially after successfully neutralising the western tanks using artilery and copters.
3
Ukrainian behaviour is totally criminal.
2
Outlook is not looking good for Russia. Ukrainians are still able to make successful HIMARS strikes. Anything can happen at any time. Yesterday there was a rumour (?) of Russian top general Garasimov killed in a Ukrainian missile strike. Who knows when such a rumour becomes a news headline as Russian air defence becoming weaker and weaker over Crimea?
2
As this war is progressing it seems Russia is eventually losing. Ukrainians are retaking land in every direction. If it continues for another about six months then Ukrainians will be able to retake all the occupied land including Crimea. The Russians are actually incapable cowards and are deserved to be defeated. I don’t see a hope for Russia even if it manages to survive this war. Russia will soon disintegrate into several smaller poor states. The reason is, Russians are no longer capable of securing such a vast country in every possible way.
2
Each stronghold is taking months even years to fell. If it continues like this how long do you expect this war to continue? Russia needs to do or invent something new and different to speed up their progress.
2
The war is still a stalemate.
2
No Russia is still unable to show any decisive capability that is required to win this war. Ukrainians are fighting better all over the frontline. They are lacking all sorts of resources but still can advance tens of miles penetrating Russian defence belt in a very short time. I am sure Russia will not be able to recover this land for months to come. Their performance has been so poor since the beginning of this war. I don’t see a future for this nation after Putin. It will just explode and shatter into dozens of pieces.
2
@ggazzaa1291 Russia wins this war. NATO and the US lose their importance and will be considered to be minor. The East European and Baltic nations will rethink their future considering Russia as an influential neighbour and superpower while considering US as a dormant power. This is the start of downfall of the so called West and a new world order is going to be commenced.
2
Hey, Ukraine is counterattacking with 1 billion fighters; Moscow will be falling within days. .
2
All sorts of things are happening that can drastically demoralize Ukrainian military and administration. But so far it doesn’t look like that. Still Ukrainians are fighting better than Russians. They are successfully conducting counter offensive and retaking grounds. So what on earth that would get Russians a better opportunity to show their capabilities? So far Russians have not been able to show any capabilities.
2
It seems Russia has lost its momentum after taking Abdiiveka.
2
@gurglejug627 If I cannot do it then I don't like to do it. Is not it? 😂😂
2
Russians are useless. They cannot achieve anything by fighting for years. On the other hand Ukrainian achieves what they want in days. All the symptoms are telling the one and only fact that, it is the last days of Russian super state. Russia as a super power nation is going to be demolished.
2
That means Russia has not made any progress over the last 24 hours.
2
@subgum3403 Only Wagner forces are fighting and making some negligible and very slow progress. This is Bakhmut.
2
What the Russians have achieved so far in this war is not satisfactory yet and therefore they should not stop this war.
2
Good newss
2
@supersayianjim2 Thanks for your very insightful explanations. It is worrying that Russians no longer have their jamming capabilities.
2
I don’t think there will be a Russia after Putin.
2
@off6848 There will be few dozens of new states.
2
@nedialkosimonov3893 That's your excuse
2
@edvigq That is because Ukrainian authority uses public places for military command centre and weapons depot.
2
Russians are now and again showing some sign of incompetence and lack of coordination after a spell of much better performance. I wonder if General Surovikin’s dismissal is taking its toll and minister Shoygu and general Garasimov are really incompetent to some extent.
2
Low IQ?
1
If Ukraine is so weak in this south eastern part then why Russia is not focussing in this area and gain more territory?
1
@carpediem2236 Still Ukraine is not going to win this war.
1
@k.a1z597 But Russia will be able to take it finally. Russia's resources are not going to run out, but Ukraine’s is running out. At the same time Ukraine’s main supplier of resources US itself is in trouble. Therefore, the inevitable outcome will be Ukraine’s defeat. But regrettably Russia will not be able to claim a big victory because of the time it would have taken and the losses it suffered.
1
“Something big is going to happen” these words have been said hundreds of times but it never happened. Now we can safely say that delivering something big is beyond Russian capacity. They are unable do anything big.
1
@ That is your excuse. The real reason is as I know and you know that too. Kursk is almost unchanged for over six months now, unable to make any progress towards Kharkiv direction after years of effort. Zaforizhizia, Kherson, Lymman fronts all are standstill. Ukrainians are fighting with many 100% more commitment.
1
Majority of the public in every neighbouring nations of Russia are pro-western and willing to join NATO. And NATO policy is to expand and encircle Russia from every possible direction and eventually break Russia into more NATO states. On top of that Russia’s territory is huge and the largest but its own population size is smaller than that of tiny Bangladesh. In such circumstances how is it possible to keep Russian Federation together for long?
1
@kurtwicklund8901 leally? 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
1
@sebastijanglozinic8630 Then Russia should make rapid progress in the South. But is it happening?
1
The signs are telling that this war will continue forever
1
@Greg-tanner Russia will take Odessa and Kharkov.
1
@reverendo1776 Russia will win this war, might take longer than my patience. I want to see Russia prevails, and it will. Often I get frustrated because of Russian slow pace.
1
NATO is going to kick out US from the alliance. For Putin and Russia news cannot be better than this. Wow.
