This leaves out some pivotal facts. First, 800,000 of Jewish immigrants were from Arab countries that expelled them, but Israel took them in as citizens while Arab countries neighboring Israel refused to let Arabs from the Palestine Mandate in as citizens of their own countries. Second, most of the land owned by Jews was purchased from Arabs in the Palestinian Mandate, often at exorbitant prices. So they were not "thrown out," they were happily bought out. Third, There was never a Palestinian state. "Palestine," or "syria Palestina," was named by the Romans after they expelled the Jews from Israel. Indeed, the Colosseum in Rome was built by Jewish slaves with funds stolen from them in Jerusalem before they were exiled as salves.
