  2. winning a war is centuries out-of-date nonsense. did you "win" the fist fight if you gotta pop your eyeball back into its socket so you can find your teeth on the floor? that's winning? the only people alive today who can possibly be said to win wars are the people who start, finance, supply, and rationalize them: capitalists and their priests and jesters, and that is only because the organs of their nation states protect them from the wrath of the people.
