  2. with normal people the phrase "important villages" rings dissonant, almost oxymoronical. to Alexander, though, i suspact the phrase is apt and exact. i also suspect his entire basement is dedicated to a magnificently executed 1:10,000 scale model of eastern Ukraine repleat with exquisitely accurate mineatures of every house in every village, pinpoint down to log cattle sheds and outhouses with quarter moon vents. my proof? still waiting to meet the missus, the twins, the hounds, the five pound padlock on the basement door.
