Amazing, a whole video about the minimum wage, and the word inflation was never mentioned. Is that too big a word; too highbrow and intellectual for the man on the street? The government has an inflation policy which devalues everyone's money about 2% a year. I don't think, barring the extremes of a huge wage or no minimum that it has much impact on employment. Employers are already being as cheap as hell. So, all it does is move inflation. Skilled people will still be paid more and unskilled the new large minimum. It's that or communism (everyone gets paid the same and there is less incentive to pursue difficult jobs). The gilded age of sharecroppers and large staffs of servants paid a pittance is long gone. Now it is the government's responsibility to ensure those people get fed.
