  3. All they had to do was hear Merrick Garland and vote no if they wished to. Then Obama could decide what to do. Apparently they decided they preferred stonewalling to categorically rejecting everyone nominated because Obama.

  4. Speaking of their job, they can hold hearings for Merrick Garland and vote no if they wish, and then ask Obama how he would respond, perhaps offering some other candidate. That was their job. They didn't do that. Instead they perverted the process of nomination and review. Partisanship above governance.
