Yeah I've noticed that. Another American YouTuber was saying that trade jobs and skills are not looked on as highly or valued in America as they are here. Like it's considered a good or a solid choice to study a trade or do an apprenticeship after highschool here. But apparently over there there's an expectation to go to university/college after highschool. I mean that's great if you're going to college to study and actual career path. Otherwise it's a waste of money to be stuffing around trying to figure out what you want to do lol. College isn't the be all and end all. There's many pathways in life. None more superior than the other.

McDonald's and similar are not looked down upon here in Australia. It's seen as a pretty standard, entry level job. And it gives young Aussies great training ground and experience at basic level management skills. A lot of the maccas managers are very very young. The US government need to enforce a higher more livable minimum wage. Last I checked, we are entitled to 18 weeks paid maternity leave. And up to a 12 months (unpaid).
