Love her, she's great. She always speaks fondly of Australia. She and her family were here for about 10 months. Their kids went to school in Byron bay. They filmed "9 perfect strangers" there with Nicole Kidman. Then she and her husband filmed cameos in Sydney for the new Thor movie. They didn't want to leave lol. They initially were staying around longer after getting permission and grants to shoot a Netflix series here. They filmed around Ballina and Byron. They filmed about 8 episodes, then the production company halted it I think. First 8 EPs supposed to screen in 2022. They said they hope to return to finish the second part. As for the no shoes I think that's more a Bryon thing lol. Nowhere I've ever lived really goes barefoot, unless you are at the beach of course. I've lived near the water most of my life. We definitely wear shoes to the shops and places. Even if it's just thongs or sandals. Aside from anything else, the ground can get very hot in summer. You'll scorch your feet otherwise. Even the sand will do that when it's hot enough.

@robby1816 haha yeah they do their own thing in Byron. Shoes were definitely a requirement at my schools growing up! Safety and all. I can remember though as a kid some days the sun was so hot that the sand would burn your feet as your ran down to the water. You were taking a risk walking into any rd in bare feet!
