  1. Teachers should be valued and respected, everywhere. 🙏 They play such an important role in our lives. I don't know about the pay in the US. But 'That Johnston Life' said on his channel that he earns around 40% more in Australia as a teacher, than he was earning in the UK. School hours for students might be 9am -3pm but we know teachers also do a lot of prep before and after and at home. They put in a lot of hours. And honestly deserve more pay and support. Just checked, according to 2022 online figures, average salary in Aus is between 87,000-128,000 AUD depending on experience (entry level around 70k). Also varies a bit from state to state. ACT pays the highest. Honestly US teachers deserve a medal. They have more stress to deal with considering the insane "safety" issues there. (That's a polite term for it).
