To all the "crowded House are a NZ band" crew. Nope. Neil Finn being from NZ doesnt mean they are a new Zealand band exclusively. Thats ridiculous and disrespectful to Nick Seymour and Paul Hester. As though their contributions were less important than Neils. When crowded House were formed, In AUSTRALIA, where they were living and making music, there were two Aussie founding members and one kiwi. Neil Finn himself was quoted in the past as saying they are an Australian band. These days you could consider them both an Aus/NZ band with all the line up chnages. They do still retain two of their founding members though. 1 aussie and 1 kiwi. Split Enz however, was definitely a kiwi band. Neil and his brother, before Crowded House days. Split Enz shouldn't have been in the list. Edited to add "Slice of Heaven" is also a kiwi artists song. Dave Dobbyn.

We didn't claim anything with Crowded house. When they formed, they had 2 Aussie and one kiwi member...IN MELBOURNE. Where they lived. Even Neil Finn has called them an Australian band in the past. They were more Australian than anything else. Of course these days you could say they are Aussie and NZ. And that's how I describe them. But the idea that aus falsely claimed them is ridiculous.

Nope. Two member were Australian and only one kiwi. And they formed in Australia wher they are living. We didn't adopt anything. And Neil Finn himself has referred for CH as an Aussie band in the past. Best or fairest you could say is that they are both Aussie and Kiwi.
