I had covid last week, it was really mild. My son caught it off me, he had a mild headache on one day & no other symptoms. I know loads of people who have had covid & none have died. One had long covid symptoms. However I also know a few people who have had negative & ongoing side effects from the vaccine - to protect them from a mild virus that would likely have not left them with any ongoing effects.

@rickcleveland310 the difference is that polio is fatal & causes life long disability whereas covid has over 99% recovery rate for people without co-morbidities. People make their own risk analysis. If there were high risks from covid they would likely feel that it would be worth the risk of taking a new vaccine where long term effects were unknown. But there aren't.

Not if they keep eliminating the control groups

He deserves it. I'm glad to have him on the scene

@alfredofloyd i had been with people via work who had had it so I got sent home for a PCR & then my symptoms started & then I got the positive PCR result. My symptoms were the classic ones (tiredness, headache) I tested my kids & my boy was positive, he had super mild symptoms. I lost my sense of smell for a few days & that was a completely new (& super disturbing) sensation. Its coming back now, gradually. It's definitely a real illness, just not in any way serious enough to make the response appropriate. (Edited for typo)

You can't see the difference between covid & polio?

@rickcleveland310 we have understanding about covid & infection rates re death rates. Its very clear

@rickcleveland310 no it's not. I work in healthcare. You are fear mongering

@frumpyducky7403 we can compare to places that didn't have the measures though. Zuby covered this

@sharifsalem yes that makes sense. I'm not worried about covid though, I'm worried about state control going out of control & mandated vaccination

@Zuby , the very last bit at 01.04.50 about which states & countries you have hope for, was very powerful & it's what I'm thinking about a lot. I am of Jewish descent & am here in the world because my direct ancestors knew when to leave their countries. All my life I have wondered if I would recognise if I needed to leave. And I'm wondering if the time to leave is now, or close. Do you think the UK is one of the Western European countries you have hope for? Can I stay?! And if not, which of Western Europe do you have hope for? And what other global countries would you recommend for white English Jewish people who aren't rich and don't speak other languages?
