  1. Maybe it depends where you live. In my city there is a shortage of skilled tradespeople while construction is booming, so young people going to college instead of university to learn a skill, stand to make a lot of money

  2. Is that the current or classical left? The left used to critique immigration on the basis that it impacts most negatively on the working class. It still does but the current left won't allow itself to see this. To me it looks like the left has been co-opted & eaten up from the inside and now it is just a wackier, more perverted neoliberalism
