  1. We conscript men not women based on their superior strength, speed & size. The military should be made up of the strongest, fittest in society. Plus women are needed to maintain the society & are better equipped to care for the most vulnerable in society

  2. Men get status from fatherhood as women get status from motherhood. In some ways women lose status from motherhood (as childless women can lose status also for different reasons)

  3. @DennisNeijmeijer  There are benefits, military are paid & trained. I'm not saying I support conscription BTW & would only consider it if our own nation was actively threatened. In turn I would do what was needed on the home front, women could be conscripted to necessary occupations eg ambulance driving, weapons manufacture

  4. @NILLOC17  to be honest I haven't thought seriously through my thoughts on conscription. My instinct is to say that if ones country is seriously under attack then it is the duty of its country people to do what's required to defend it, what that means in practice I'm not sure of
