Megamind, as Space Dad, picked the name "Titan" for Hal's superpowered form because it invokes a sense of a being of godlike power, like Hal had become. However, many of the Titans are, in many versions of the Greek myth, described as beings of petty cruelty and selfish whim, which fits Hal's ultimately villainous attitude to a T. And with Hal thinking it's spelled "Tighten" is because he's an idiot, it's just as meaningful. "Tighten" means "to squeeze", which fits both his villainous goals — to force the world into giving him everything he feels he wants. Not to mention, Megamind wanted Hal to be a hero (Titan), but Hal himself perverts the concept into a supervillain (Tighten). Tighten is a perversion of Titan, both in name and concept.

My favorite imagery in the game is the use of light and dark to compare Curly and Jimmy.
During the segment before we interview Jimmy we walk through a lake of blood with broken ladders before we are eventually absorbed by the rising sun. Jimmy also mentions how Curly is at the top of the ladder and he's at the bottom. Further reinforcing this idea.
And throughout the game the time before the crash is lighter and had more green tones, whereas after is filled with darker and has more red tones. I think this meant to show how different Jimmy and Curly are.
Curly is the star, he is warm with the crew and gives everything he has to everyone, without asking for anything in return. On the other hand Jimmy is the black-hole, dark, cruel, he does nothing but take and destroy. Circling back to the TV scene, what do we see?
A black-hole absorbing a star, darkness overtaking light, Jimmy overtaking Curly as captain, Jimmy (a cosmic body in this metaphor) killing Curly.
