  12. I will never understand these green commuter „go“ trains that just stand abandoned on the tracks at the station for 80% of the time.. Being from Europe, this „concept“ of trains going into the city in the morning and then only going out again once in the evening instead of just running on a regular schedule all day long just blows my mind..

  14.  @MrPolandball  but unlike German cities, most towns in the US have NOTHING else.. just super wide roads even in tiny, tiny places they have 4-6 lane stroads running through a dead and abandoned downtown..

  16. I was so afraid to get lost all the time on the Tokyo metro but after 2-3 days you easily get the hang of it if you used a subway in any other city .. The whole system is very logical and easy to remember.. stations havong an indicidual letter and number blew my mind.. you dont have to remember the (japanese) name of the station. Just remember that you enter at M15 and leave at O4 never seen that somewhere else..

  19. 34 year old here, never owned a car in my life.. never needed one.. I actually hate driving Did I mention, I live in Germany... Blows the mind of americans... they can’t wrap their head around the concept of NOT driving their own car everywhere you go Friends of mine from NJ have 6(!) cars in their driveway.. Dad owns 2, granny owns one, mom owns one and the 2 kids own one each... and they have a light rail stop 1 block down the road it’s madness..

I love going to bars and pubs and just talk to people.. even if its just for that one night, and youll never see them again you have conversation with people from all walks of life, hear opinions, concepts and so much more.. suburbia honestly sounds like hell to me. i will never understand how living like that is desirable to sooo many people

  22. My honest opinion.. Too many people are just lazy! Get in car, drive there, drive back.. Didn’t have to put any physical activity into that.. Driving a car, especially in cities, should be made as difficult as possible.

  27. my neighbor orders from Gorilla all the time... their small delivery center is right next to the closest supermarket.. about 400m away, where i shop all the time he also complains all the time about being short on money, still he Pays for delivery of groceries.. cant wrap my heard around this

  28.  @mindlessgreen  already happening in Germany.. NO middle class family is able to afford a single family house anymore unless it’s some abandoned shack in the woods.. everything close to a middle to large city will be at least 700k.. houses IN cities are over 1 million

  29. Islands in the caribbean are TERRIBLE when it comes to transport infrastructure.. i hated visiting because of that.. car here, car there.. no, we cant do that, there is no one to drive us etc.. terrible

  38. As a European regularly visiting the US, I hate the fact that walking just isn’t a thing.. people drive to the shop that literally 500m away....and if you walk (like I do) people look at you like you’re an alien a criminal that lost his license or you’re dirt poor...

  45. Tokyo is the largest city on earth.. But it doesnt really feel like it when youre there.. Using the subway system is so fast and easy that getting to different places with Tokyo feels like youre in a medium sized city..
