He mentioned nothing about your right to have a 'democratic' vote to leave the EU; he just said that if you chose to leave the EU, you relegate yourselves to the back of the line. Why? Because the EU is more important to the US than the UK, because it is considerably bigger. The Good Friday Agreement is the business of the US. It brokered the peace negotiations and is a co-guarantor of it.
