I have visited Argentina several times, and can see the potential the country has to be an actual superpower. However, this potential is being squandered by short term populism. I was told that food exports are taxed in order to keep prices down at home, so that the poor can afford food. That is insane. However, it is a great country. An amazing place to visit.
