Javier Milei is using the Irish economic miracle as an inspiration for his own nations economy. He is merely a counter balance to the extreme left in Argentina. It will be interesting to see how much libertarianism Argentines will want.

The biggest single threat to Ireland right now is misinformation and disinformation. The Irish state will not collapse as we can see from the recent local elections. Irish people will reject the extreme left and the extreme right in Irish politics.

Well, we tried the right wing conservative stuff, and ended up with a society that was dominated by the church, institutions to hide people who didn't fit in, sex abuse scandals, lots of character building poverty and low national morale. This was a problem for our ethno-nationalism which told us that we were better than everybody else because we were God's holy Catholic people. The lack of Christianity in Catholic Ireland was as stark as the petty snobbery. Swapping the ethno-nationalism for a nationalism that says we're as good as everybody else was essential for the advancement of peace in NI. If you think its bad now, read a history book.
