  2. No its not. Its the UK looking for special treatment - as usual. The question is one of competence and understanding what is possible and the UKs limitation in this department has been exposed by this ever since David Davis showed up in Berlin looking for a deal from Merkel (who promptly sent him to Brussels). The UK is a crap negotiator. The EU is more secure that the UK. Support for a second Scottish IndyRef is consistent and increasing (58%) in the last poll as a consequence of Brexit, suggesting that the clock is ticking on the future existence of the 'precious union'. Meanwhile, just this week the EU Commission issued 17 billion euros of new social-linked bonds at 10- and 20-year maturities. Demand was incredible, topping 233 billion euros. That’s a record for any European bond, despite the negative yield on offer for the 10-year debt and the barely positive yield on the 20-year. More importantly is shows confidence in the future of the EU, which is a AAA rated entity. If you're looking for a political union that will fall apart in the coming years, look closer to home.
