  4. It is difficult to see how Ireland's economy will collapse when only 11% of Irish exports go to the UK. The EU is negotiating in good faith, but it also has a responsibility to protect its members.

  11.  @cmdrlevianova1485  No, the Irish were never okay with the House of Lords, and the unelected feudal system the represent. It is one of the reasons the Irish left the UK a century ago. What killed a million Irish people in famine was the decision in 1846 by the government to declare the famine over and cease feeding 3 million people on ideological grounds. But the British love their institutions and prefer to displace concerns for their domestic democratic deficits onto the EU rather than dealing with them at home. Finally, for Brexiters, the shortcomings of their ambitions are always somebody else's fault.
