On the contrary, the British think sovereignty means they ride rough-shod over everybody elses interest and it turned out not to be the case. Brexit, no matter what the outcome, was always going to leave the UK in the position of vassal to the EU. It is just a matter of degree.

@albertmcmullen2669 If there is no agreement, the UK remains in a situation where decisions made in Brussels will continue to have an impact on it, but without any ability to influence those decisions. It will render the UK a vassal of the EU.
