  3. Ernest - We saw this coming in the Republic. The Brexit intention of taking control of the border was always unworkable with Ireland, but Brexiters always fobbed it off and voters in England really don't. Consequently, the problem was never part of the debate. The EU cannot have an open border with the UK - it would undermine the whole EU and is completely unrealistic. Ireland will not be forced out of the EU because of the UK either. The fault for this mess lies with the UK as the UK is the one leaving the EU.

  4. 'The EU preaches we all must have open boarders to the third world' The EU makes no such pronouncements. The EU promotes freedom of movement within its borders. 'But Britain n Ireland MUST have strict boarder control.' Yes, because of the UK is leaving the Single Market and Customs Union.
