@simonrodgers2375 That only works if there is an overarching British Demos, and that is diminishing rapidly: Scotland is dominated by Scottish Nationalists, the English Tories that dominate Westminster and Brexit don't represent them or the United Kingdom as a whole; Northern Ireland has returned a majority of Irish nationalist MPs for the first time in 2019, and nationalists are about to become the majority there; the Welsh vote to leave was distorted by the 12% of Welsh residents who identified as English in the 2001 census - they obviously took their politics with them. So, there is not much of a British Demos. Your constitutional arrangement is not fit for purpose.
