  3. As an Irish person I would recommend that you do not follow this course of action. It is un-necessary in any case. Seek independence from the UK through constitutional means, and keep trying until you get it. The genie is out of the bottle already, it is really just a matter of when not if. Join the EU and build an alliance with Ireland within the bloc, we will should be natural allies given our proximity to one another. Keep the guns out it, it very hard to get rid of them once they are part of the story.

  5. Farmers already operate to tight margins. You will destroy your agriculture sector and any semblance of food security, which was tenuous enough lets face it. What impact will that have on the UK economy, its rural communities and British society in general remains will make for interesting observation.

  9. Because they view England has the worst option. There is no equality among the nations of the UK, whereas the EU is a bloc of equals. And independent Scotland will have more control over its own future by pooling some of its sovereignty with its neighbours in the EU than it ever will under English dominance. The EU also serves as a counter balance to England, as can be seen through EU support for Ireland regarding the British border there.
