  1. He is quite an inspiration indeed.  He appears to have inspired some to kill others, though he takes no responsibility for it.  I find him an enigma.

  2. ***** Yes, but not everybody is as bright as you.  My claim that he inspired some to kill others is not nonsense, some of those who did the killing were those who made the claim.  It is not nonsense to them.  Nor was he just a Christian minister, he was a fundamentalist Christian minister and a politician too. 'If not for people like Ian I feel there would have been many more killed'.   I'm not so sure about that.  Today he appears to accept that there was justification of the Civil Rights movement of the late 1960s.  If he had championed that rather setting his face against Civil Rights, the impact of the gunman would have been reduced.

  3. ***** He used to rouse the rabble and then wash his hands of them when they did wrong.  He was reckless with his words.   He wasn't sounding very peaceful when he formed his "Third Force" in 1981.
