  1. It is not a wise option. Any repudiation of the Irish Protocol would cause serious problems for the UK in its desire to get a trade deal with the United States. It would also damage the UKs reputation abroad. It would be seen as a country that cannot be relied upon to uphold an international agreement.

  2.  @rosshilton  Yeah, the UK tried that earlier in the departure process and it didn't work, the UK.was out flanked by Irish diplomatic nous. The thing is, the UKs antics in changing an arrangement democratically agreed between the people of Ireland north and south in 1998 is obvious, as well as the fact that the UK will be undermining an international treaty lodged at the United Nations. Everyone knows that Northern Ireland had voted to remain in the EU. Irish-America will know what the British are doing and you can wave goodbye to any UK -US trade deal. Brexiters have failed to come up with a perfect solution to anything so far.

  4.  @rosshilton  Dont kid yourself. The rest of the world understands the art of negotiation, it!s give and take. They also know the UK has a long history of take and no give. You built an empire on it. Not much sympathy out in the world for you lot.
