It also harbours inaccuracies: it was not an Irish soldier who told the Choctaw of the suffering in Ireland as the mass migration of Irish had yet to begin at that stage. It was Quakers who ministered to the Choctaw and who were also helping the Irish with their soup kitchens during the famine, who were behind it. It was also the Quakers who had the network to get it through to Ireland.
