  2. The German state has already apologied for what their ancestors did in WW2 AND they went further and apologies for their imperial behaviour in their African colonies long before that. They have a established a museum to their imperial past to teach modern Germans about the nature of European Imperialism. The British have made no such acknowledgement to their past and have yet to come to terms with the true nature of British imperialism. An acknowledgement can be as powerful as an apology.
