Scotland only trades more with the rest of the UK because it is part of the UK; once it is free of reduce its dependence on the UK market, just like Ireland did, increasing prosperity and raising living standards.

@peterwilliamallen1063 I haven't seen any evidence that Brexit has been a success. All the news seems to be bad. What does a successful Brexit look like anyway?

@peterwilliamallen1063 Great. So who does Brussels dictate to EU members that it cannot trade with? If the UK wants to trade without ties, why did it sign a TCA with the EU?

@peterwilliamallen1063 How come Germany, Ireland and other countries trade quite freely with countries outside the EU? The French are selling Rafale jet fighters to the Indians - how did that happen? The Swedes are selling Saab Gripen fighters to Brazil - no trade deal here either. Why does Germany sell more stuff to China as a member than the UK does outside the EU? How does Ireland sell more stuff to the US per head of population than the UK when the EU has no trade deal with the US?
