  2. The German car industry has stated publicly that it supports the EU position. All its growth markets are outside the EU - the UK is a declining market - and it understands that maintaining the SM and CU is best for their industry. The UK will have no problem getting trade deals post Brexit. Its just that they will the third rate, with the UK as the rule taker rather than the rule maker with bigger nations as it will have no deal with the EU to fall back on.
