  1.  Steve Jakubowski  Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom. It voted to stay in the EU. As part of the departure from the EU, Northern Ireland was allowed to stay inside the EU single market and customs union for trade purposes. This means there is a customs and regulatory border between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK. This means more paperwork and it is having an impact of deliveries to supermarkets in Northern Ireland from the rest of the UK.

  2.  Steve Jakubowski  Nobody sees it as retribution. It is a consequence of moving goods between two different customs areas after it was previously frictionless - it is new to everyone. It appears the British are not as well prepared as they should have been also.
