@KoolMonkE Batman's rogues gallery is just so much more iconic. Batman has Riddler, Penguin, Mister Freeze, Poison Ivy, Joker, Harley Quinn, Bane, etc. Most people who know Batman know all these people. Whereas Spider-Man's rogues gallery? Most people know Venom, and that's about it. Batman has a more iconic rogues gallery, end of story.

@KoolMonkE Your name proves you're a biased Spider-Man fan. Carnage is not well-known, he will be when the second Venom film comes out, but he isn't yet. Also, you listed Venom, who I also listed. Venom is only well-known now because of the film. Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, and Sandman are only properly known from the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man films, and they are not as popular today. Rhino and Mysterio are only properly known from the PlayStation Spider-Man games, and Kingpin is really only properly known from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Half of my examples are not "obscure as hell", they're well-known characters who, while not known globally, are more popular than any of Spider-Man's rogues gallery. I suggest not replying, I wouldn't want to destroy you too thoroughly.

@yashyadav7093 Thanos hasn't appeared in that many forms of media, he's made a huge impact on the MCU, but he's only appeared in two majorly successful films. Joker, however, has appeared in many popular animated and live-action works, being far more successful than the lesser-known things Thanos has appeared in. In terms of individual works, Endgame and Infinity War are more popular than anything Joker has appeared in, but put-together, Joker is significantly more successful than Thanos.

@korbinklawitter5796 What I like most about Joker is that he's the literal opposite of Batman. Black Adam is Shazam's nemesis, and he's literally Shazam, but evil. Carnage is Spider-Man's nemesis, and he's literally Spider-Man, but evil. However, Joker is Batman's nemesis, and he's literally the opposite of Batman. Batman is a gritty, tortured badass whose moral code doesn't allow him to kill. Joker is an upbeat psychopath in vibrant colours who kills anyone he wants, as he has no morals at all. And on top of all that, he isn't just a goofy lunatic, he's an intelligent, calculated killer who has a deep bond with his arch-nemesis. That's why I love Joker so much, him and Batman are polar-opposites, yet they work together so well. That's why Joker is my favourite villain.

@RiceCubeTech It's about popularity, which Joker vastly outshines Green Goblin, Carnage, and Venom in. And plus, Green Goblin and Carnage are rip-offs of Joker. Gwen did not stay dead, in fact, she's been revived quite a few times. She's even been made into separate characters, such as Gwenpool and Spider-Gwen. And if your argument is that she's only dead in the 616 universe, that sort-of defeats the whole point of the whole "stayed dead" thing.
